Former India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik dropped a cheeky reply to a fan mistaking him for actor Vikrant Massey in the movie ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba.’ Karthik expressed gratitude while dropping laughing emojis to the X user, who credited him for his performance in the movie.

Notably, the romantic thriller film was premiered on Netflix on August 9, 2024. The movie's lead roles feature Massey, Taapsee Pannu, and Sunny Kaushal. It’s worth mentioning that Massey and Karthik keep beards, which gives them an identical look, especially while wearing caps.

The X user dropped clapping emojis and wrote:

“Just watched Phir Aayi Hasseen Dilruba, powerful performance by @DineshKarthik.”

Dinesh Karthik replied:

“Oh wow!!! Thanks”

While many former cricketers like Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, and Mohammad Azharuddin have appeared in movies, Karthik has yet to try his luck in films.
