San Francisco Unicorns went up against the Los Angeles Knight Riders in the Major League Cricket 2024 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Monday, July 8.

San Francisco opted to bowl first and restricted the Los Angeles Knight Riders to 165/6. Shakib Al Hasan (35), Andre Russell 40(25), Jason Roy (26), and David Miller were among the major run-getters for the Knight Riders. Brody Couch and Haris Rauf picked up two wickets each for the Unicorns while Abrar Ahmad and Liam Plunkett took one each.

In reply, San Francisco Unicorns chased down the target in 15.2 overs. Finn Allen scored a match-winning 63-run knock at an excellent strike rate of 170.27. Matthew Short also smashed 58 off 26 balls as they comfortably won the game by six wickets. Spencer Johnson picked up a three-wicket haul for the Knight Riders while Sunil Narine took one.


Major League Cricket 2024 Most Runs List

Nicholas Pooran is still at the top of the run-scoring list with 106 runs in two games at an average of 106.

Unmukt Chand is behind Pooran with 68 runs in two games at a strike rate of 136. Following closely, Finn Allen, who scored a 63-run knock against the Los Angeles Knight Riders, moved to third position.

Matthew Short from San Francisco Unicorns scored 58 on Monday and jumped to the fourth spot.

Devon Conway and Shakib Al Hasan occupy the next two spots with 53 runs each.


Major League Cricket 2024 Most Wickets List

Spencer Johnson of the Los Angeles Knight Riders picked up a three-wicket haul against the Unicorns and is atop the list with five wickets.

Ali Khan with four wickets finds himself at the second spot with a strike rate of 9.50.

Meanwhile, Saurabh Netravalkar, Trent Boult, Justin Dill, and Rashid Khan occupy the next four positions, respectively, with three wickets each.

Keiron Pollard, Zia-ul-Haq, Brody Couch, and Aaron Hardie occupy the remaining four spots, respectively, with two wickets apiece.
