Unmukt Chand’s 62 outweighs Rickelton’s 89 in LAKR's win

Batting first, the entirety of Seattle Orcas’ innings primarily revolved around opening batter Ryan Rickelton. The South African-based cricketer nearly batted throughout the Orcas innings and accounted for 89 out of his team’s 142-run total. Rickelton belted seven boundaries and six sixes in his 52-ball knock and only received assistance via captain Heinrich Klaasen’s run-a-ball 23.

Spencer Johnson, Andre Russell, Corne Dry, and Sunil Narine picked up a wicket each for the Los Angeles Knight Riders.

Chasing 143, Los Angeles Knight Riders captain Sunil Narine and David Miller failed to get going by crumbling in front of Lungi Ngidi and Keemo Paul, respectively. Amidst the early setbacks, wicketkeeper and No. 3 batter Unmukt Chand steadied Knight Riders’ ship by smashing 62 runs off just 47 balls as he stitched together a 58-run partnership with Jason Roy (27 off 24 balls).

While Cameron Gannon and Harmeet Singh fought back for the Orcas by claiming two wickets each, unbeaten Saif Badar ensured the Los Angeles Knight Riders navigated past their target in the final over with four wickets in hand.
