San Franciso Unicorns defeated Seattle Orcas by six wickets in the 18th match of Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024. Finn Allen scored 77 runs off just 30 deliveries for San Francisco and won the Player of the Match award.

Washington Freedom are still in first place and have won five out of six games. They have a Net Run Rate of +2.194. San Francisco Unicorns have won four out of six matches and have a Net Run Rate of +0.613. They are still in second place.

Texas Super Kings have won two out of six matches. They have a Net Run Rate of +0.285 and are in third place. Los Angeles Knight Riders have managed two wins in six games and have a Net Run Rate of -0.569. They are in fourth position.

Ml New York and Seattle Orcas are in the last two positions and have won one game each. They have a Net Run Rate of -0.851 and -0.914, respectively.


Finn Allen's explosive 77 leads San Francisco Unicorns to victory over Seattle Orcas at MLC 2024

San Francisco Unicorns won the toss against Seattle Orcas and elected to bowl. Seattle lost their first two wickets for just one run. Quinton de Kock and Shehan Jayasuriya added 97 runs for the third wicket. De Kock scored 62 runs off 33 deliveries, while Jayasuriya made 31 runs off 33 deliveries.

Seattle lost four wickets for just 18 runs once this partnership was over. Shubham Ranjane and Imad Wasim had a partnership of 36 runs for the eighth wicket. It helped Seattle post a total of 152 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Hassan Khan was the pick of the bowlers and took three wickets for five runs in two overs for San Francisco.

Finn Allen and Matthew Short added 84 runs for the first wicket. Their partnership helped San Franciso dominate the innings. They did lose a couple of wickets after the partnership was over but it didn’t have any effect on the outcome of the match. San Francisco won the match by six wickets in 14.2 overs with six wickets in hand. Allen scored 77 runs off just 30 deliveries.

Harmeet Singh picked two wickets for Seattle, while Imad Wasim and Cameron Gannon took one wicket each.
