San Francisco Unicorns ravaged Seattle Orcas in Dallas in match 18 of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024. After Unicorns captain Corey Anderson won the toss and opted to field first, his fast bowler Carmi le Roux struck twice in the first three deliveries of the match to get rid of both Orcas openers (Ryan Rickelton and Aaron Jones) for golden ducks.

Quinton de Kock counterattacked with a 33-ball 62 during his 97-run partnership with Shehan Jayasuriya (31 off 33 balls) for the third wicket before the Proteas wicketkeeper was deceived by a slower delivery from Brody Couch.

Hassan Khan picked up three wickets in the backend, including the prized scalp of Seattle Orcas captain Heinrich Klaasen, to finish with figures of 3/5 from two overs. The Orcas eventually gathered 152/7 in 20 overs, owing to some late flourish from Shubham Ranjane (26* from 25 balls) and Imad Wasim (17* from 11 balls).

Chasing 153, Unicorns opener Finn Allen went hammer and tongs at the top to race to a whirlwind 30-ball 77 in less than eight overs. Despite his dismissal to Harmeet Singh (2/39) at 98/2, his sixes-laden knock inflicted enough damage to Orcas' ambitions as the Unicorns catered themselves to a six-wicket win in the 15th over.
