On Sunday, July 21, the Los Angeles Knight Riders and MI New York locked horns in the 19th match of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. The Knight Riders were asked to bat first.
Jason Roy scored 27 runs off 23 deliveries while Nitish Kumar added 15. Andre Russell top-scored with 35 off 21. The side was bowled out for 130 in 19.1 overs.
Rashid Khan led the MI New York bowling department with a three-wicket haul. Nosthush Kenjige and Trent Boult picked up two wickets each while Keiron Pollard took one.
In reply, Dewald Brevis (27) and Ruben Clinton (8) stitched a 32-run opening partnership. Later, Nicholas Pooran added 35 runs off 28, and with Pollard’s 12-ball unbeaten 33-run knock, including two fours and three sixes, MI chased the target in 17 overs.
Sunil Narine of LAKR chipped in with two wickets while Corne Dry, Spencer Johnson, Andre Russell, and Ali Khan took one each.

Faf du Plessis (264) and Ryan Rickelton (225) continue to sit at the top of the Most Runs Leaderboard, averaging 52.80 and 56.25 in five matches, respectively.
Following closely, Travis Head and Steve Smith hold the next two positions with 194 and 191 runs each. Head averages 38.80 while Smith has an average of 63.66, the best among the top five.
Finn Allen of the San Francisco Unicorns and Devon Conway of the Texas Super Kings occupy the fifth and sixth positions, having scored 186 and 180 runs, respectively.
MLC 2024 Most Wickets List
Saurabh Netravalkar is still at the top of the most wickets leaderboard with 12 wickets in four games. He averages 9.16 and has maintained an impressive economy of 7.17.
Rashid Khan of MI New York chipped in with three wickets and took his tally to 10 wickets. He jumped from seventh position to second with an average of 13.80.
Both Glenn Maxwell and Lockie Ferguson of Washington Freedom descended one position each to finish fourth and fifth with nine wickets each.
Trent Boult took two wickets and climbed from eighth to sixth with nine wickets while Spencer Johnson dropped from sixth to seventh after taking nine wickets in six matches.
