MI Cape Town have released all-rounder Kieron Pollard ahead of the upcoming SA20 2025 auction which is all set to be held on October 1, 2024. The 37-year-old was roped in as a replacement for the injured Rashid Khan ahead of Season 2 in January this year.

The West Indian managed 187 runs with the bat at a strike rate of 185.14.

However, Pollard will be in action for MI Emirates at the ILT20 2025, leading the side in Season 3 of the tournament which is slated to be held from January 11 to February 9, 2025. Meanwhile, the third edition of the SA20 will be played between January 9 and February 8, 2025.

Last season, upon completing MI Cape Town's SA20 2024 campaign, Kieron Pollard joined MI Emirates at the ILT20, representing them in the last four matches towards the end of the season. He captained them in the final two league games in Nicholas Pooran's absence. The team went on to clinch the title by defeating Dubai Capitals by 45 runs in the final which took place in Dubai.
