The fixtures for the upcoming Men's T20 Emerging Asia Cup 2024 were announced by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Friday, September 20. The sixth edition of the tournament is all set to kick off on October 18. For the first time in history, the tournament will be played in the T20 format, with the previous five editions taking place in the 50-over format.

The Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Muscat, Oman, will be hosting all 15 matches, including the two semifinals and the final. Eight teams will be vying for the crown, with the title match scheduled for October 27. While Group A comprises Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka A, defending champions Pakistan A are placed alongside arch-rivals India A, hosts Oman, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Group B.

Here's the complete schedule of the Men's T20 Emerging Asia Cup 2024:

Pakistan A beat India A to clinch the 2023 Men's Emerging Asia Cup title

Pakistan A won the 2023 Men's Emerging Asia Cup title by defeating India A by a huge margin of 128 runs in the final at the historic R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo last year. India A skipper Yash Dhull won the toss and opted to bowl first. Put into bat, the Mohammad Haris-led side got a much-needed solid opening partnership (121 runs in just 17.2 overs), laying the foundation for a strong inning.

From there on, they never looked back as Tayyab Tahir's century, combined with the half-centuries by openers Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan, ensured Pakistan A registered a massive total of 352-8 in their 50 overs.

Chasing 353 runs for the victory, the India A batters failed to get going as they were bowled out for 224 runs in 40 overs. It was the second Men's Emerging Asia Cup crown for Pakistan A, who are now the joint most successful nation along with Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, India U23 won the inaugural edition in 2013, overcoming the Pakistan U23 challenge in the final in Singapore.
