Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) defeated Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club in the first game of the day on August 2 in the Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament 2024. They chased down the target of 171 runs in 28.5 overs with eight wickets in hand. Nuwanidu Fernando was the pick of the bowlers for SSC and took five wickets for 28 runs.
On the other hand, Negombo Cricket Club were bundled out for 193 runs against Nondescripts Cricket Club. Milinda Siriwardana was the highest scorer for the Negombo and made 52 runs off 63 deliveries.
