The Raigad Royals won their fourth game in a row and solidified their top spot in the Maharastra Premier League 2024 Points Table.

The Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings retained their second position in the points table with two wins in three games. Meanwhile, the Raigad Royals moved from fourth to third spot after defeating the Kolhapur Tuskers. They have now won two out of their four games.

The Eagle Nashik Titans have also won two games in three matches. They are placed fourth with a negative net run rate of -0.305.

The Puneri Bappa reclaimed their fifth rank despite a four-wicket loss against the Ratnagiri Jets. They have lost three out of four games and have an NRR of -0.838.

The Kolhapur Tuskers lost their fourth game in a row on Friday. They are sitting at the bottom of the points table, eyeing their first win in the upcoming game against Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings.

Raigad Royals secure back-to-back wins; Ratnagiri Jets extend unbeaten streak to four

The Ratnagiri Jets clinched their fourth consecutive victory over Puneri Bappa in the first game on Friday. The Jets' bowlers restricted their opposition to 144/10 with Satyajeet Bachhav taking a four-wicket haul and Vijay Pawle picking up two.

In reply, Ratnagiri achieved the target with one ball to spare. Azim Kazi (31), Nikhil Naik (27), and Dhiraj Phatangare (25) made major contributions.

In the next game, the Raigad Royals were asked to bat first. With skipper Vishant More’s 68 off 47 backed by Mehul Patel’s 45 and Rushab Rathod’s 26 off 12, they had set a target of 185 runs for seven wickets. Nihal Tusamad and Yogesh Dongare took two wickets each for Kolhapur Tuskers.

In reply, the Tuskers lost opener Harsh Sanghvi in the second over. However, Ankit Bawne (51) and skipper Rahul Tripathi (46) built an 89-run stand for the second wicket. Aniket Porwal (21 off 12), Sachin Dhas (12 off 9), and Manoj Yadav (14) also made handy contributions with the bat but fell short by 13 runs.

Manoj Ingale and Tanay Sanghvi picked up three wickets each for the Royals, while Nikhil Kadam secured two scalps.
