Ratnagiri Jets took on Puneri Bappa in the 29th match of the Maharashtra Premier League 2024 on Tuesday. Batting first, Ratnagiri managed to score 178 runs in the first innings.
Nikhil Naik played a handy unbeaten knock of 41 off 19 balls to take the team to a winning score. The likes of Dhiraj Phatangare (38 off 22) and Kiran Chormale (38 off 22) also came up with valuable contributions with the bat.
As for Puneri Bappa’s bowling, Ramkrishna Ghosh picked two wickets, while Rohan Kharat and Roshan Waghsare came up with one wicket apiece.
In pursuit of the target, Puneri Bappa were restricted to 172 in the second innings. They didn’t make a great start but a stellar knock of 55 runs off 24 balls from Suraj Shinde kept their hopes alive. However, it wasn't enough in the end.
In the second match of the day, Kolhapur Tuskers took on Raigad Royals at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Ajay Borude (33 off 13) and Naushad Shaikh (23 off 9) guided Raigad to a competitive score of 109 in 9 overs (DLS Method).
Rahul Tripathi played a sensational knock in the second innings and kept his team in the hunt. However, in the final over, he got out after scoring 64 off just 26 balls. Kolhapur Tuskers eventually lost the game by two runs.

Om Bhosale is sitting at the top of the run charts with 379 runs in 10 matches. Rahul Tripathi has moved to second spot with 356 runs. Siddhesh Veer finds himself at number three with 349 runs, followed by Ankit Bawne (316) at four.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is sitting at number five with 313 runs while Onkar Khatpe is in sixth spot with 281 runs. Atharve Kale takes the number seventh spot with 268 runs while Azim Kazi is at eighth with 267 runs. The ninth and 10th spots are occupied by Mandar Bhandari (264) and Dhiraj Phatangare (258), respectively.

Satyajeet Bachhav is head and shoulders above the rest with 21 wickets against his name. Shreyash Chavan is second with 18 wickets, followed by Tanay Sanghavi at three with 15 wickets.
At number four is Mukesh Choudhary with 14 wickets, while Sachin Bhosale is at fifth with 13 wickets. Manoj Ingale is at the sixth spot with 13 wickets, while Anand Thenge is seventh with 12 wickets.
Nihal Tusamad claims the eighth spot with 11 wickets under his name. The ninth and 10th spots are occupied by Divyang Hinganekar (10) and Arshin Kulkarni (10), respectively.
