The Maharaja Trophy T20 2024 witnessed a double-header on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Hubli Tigers and Mangalore Dragons locked horns in the third game while Bengaluru Blasters and Mysore Warriors faced in the second.

Hubli Tigers grabbed their first win in the opening game against Mangalore Dragons. Dragons batted first and posted a 144-run target, with Krishnamurthy Siddharth (44 off 27) emerging as the top-scorer, followed by Nikin Jose (33 off 29). LR Kumar chipped in three wickets for the Tigers.

In reply, Tigers scored 55 runs in 5.1 overs before the rain interrupted. However, they were 15 runs ahead of the DLS par score, resulting in a win. Manish Pandey remained unbeaten on 24 off 14.

In the following game, with Harshil Dharmani (50 off 32) and Manoj Bhandage (58* off 33), Mysore Warriors posted a total of 182 in a match reduced to 18 over-a-side. Gneshwar Naveen claimed four wickets for the Bengaluru Blasters.

In response, the Blasters achieved the target in 17.1 overs thanks to an impressive knock from Bhuvan Raju (51 off 24) and hefty contributions from Suraj Ahuja (39) and LR Chethan (33).

Manoj Bhandage of Mysore Warriors has scored 100 runs in two games, including a 58-run unbeaten knock in the previous game. He is currently ranked first in the most runs charts.

LR Chethan (86), who dropped to second, scored 33 runs in the previous game. BM Raju (58), Abhinav Manohar (51), and Harshil Dharmani (51) occupy the next three spots, respectively with one half-century each.

Mayank Agarwal (48) and Krishnamurthy Siddharth (44) hold the sixth and seventh positions while Suraj Ahuja (33) and Nikin Jose (32) are placed in the following two spots, respectively.

Karun Nair of Mysore Warriors rounds off the top 10 leaderboard with 32 runs in two games.

Gneshwar Naveen is now ranked first in the most wickets list. He secured a four-fer and brought his tally to six.

Meanwhile, Aditya Goyal moved to second spot with four wickets while LR Kumar and Vidyadhar Patil are holding the next two spots with three wickets each.

Mohsin Khan, Gautam Mishra, Hardik Raj, Jagdeesha Suchith, D Avinash, and Thippeswamy Pradeep are ranked fifth to tenth, respectively, with two wickets each.
