Madhya Pradesh T20 League 2024: Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Malwa Panthers vs Jabalpur Lions (Updated) ft. Himanshu Mantri & Kuldeep Sen

On Tuesday, June 18, the Gwalior Cheetahs and Rewa Jaguars squared off in the fifth match of the Madhya Pradesh T20 League 2024. Malwa Panthers locked horns with Jabalpur Lions in the next match of the day.

In the first game, Harsh Dixit’s 49, Himanshu Mantri’s 32, and 22 runs each from Vikrant Bhadoriya and Kumar Kartikeya, helped Rewa Jaguars set a 158-run target for Gwalior Cheetahs. Parth Sahani led the Cheetah’s bowling lineup with a four-wicket haul while Ishan Afridi backed him with two wickets and Arpit Patel with one.

In reply, Cheetahs did a great job and chased the target in 19.4 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Venkatesh Iyer was the top scorer with 36 runs, followed by Sanjog Singh Nijjar's unbeaten 31, and Patel's 26. Despite Kuldeep Sen's impressive five-wicket haul, he lacked sufficient support from his teammates, leading to a narrow two-wicket defeat for the Jaguars.

However, the second game between Malwa Panthers and Jabalpur Lions was abandoned due to rain.

Himanshu Mantri leads the most runs leaderboard, scoring 100 runs in two matches, including a 68-run knock.

Parth Sahani of Gwalior Cheetahs dropped to the second spot with 98 runs. Similarly. Apurve Dwivedi also descended to the third position with 93 runs to his name.

Prithviraj Singh Tomar retained the fourth position, having scored 78 runs in two matches at an impressive strike rate of 177.27. Arpit Gaud slipped from third to fifth rank, scoring 77 runs in one inning at an excellent strike rate of 208.11.

Kuldeep Sen (6) jumped to the pole position in the most wickets charts after picking up a five-fer in the previous match against Cheetahs. Parth Sahani picked up a four-fer on Wednesday and grabbed the second spot with five wickets.

Shivam Shukla retained his third position, having picked up four wickets in two games. Ankit Singh Kushwah dropped from first to fourth spot with four wickets taken at an economy of 7.88. Meanwhile, Vishnu Bhardwaj also descended to fifth rank with similar records.

Kumar Kartikeya (3) moved from seventh to sixth position after securing one wicket in the last game against Gwalior Cheetahs.
