LPL 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after Galle Marvels vs Kandy Falcons (Updated) ft. Rilee Rossouw and Alex Hales

Lanka Premier League (LPL) on Wednesday, July 10 witnessed the clash of royals in a doubleheader encounter. Colombo Strikers faced Jaffna Kings in the 13th match, which resulted in the Kings won the game by seven wickets and had nine deliveries left, In the 14th game, Galle Marvels secured a eight-wicket victory against Kandy Falcons.

The Kings won the toss and chose to bowl first, pushing the Strikers to bat first. They managed to get to 188/8 with the top-order batters firing in the form of Glenn Phillips scoring 58 from 32 balls and Angelo Perera scoring 34 runs from 30 deliveries. Azmatullah Omarzai and Asitha Fernando took two wickets each with figures of 2/31 and 2/38, respectively.

In response, the Kings chased down the target in 18.3 overs, Rilee Rossouw played a magnificent inning scoring 108* off 50 balls, smashing 12 boundaries and six sixes. Avishka Fernando played a 35-ball-58 knock helping the Kings guide and win the match by seven wickets.

Meanwhile, Marvels won the toss in the second match and elected to bowl first. The Falcons had a good start to the day scoring 187/9. Andre Fletcher and Dinesh Chandimal played a steady knock at the top, scoring 69 and 32 runs, respectively.

Prabath Jayasuriya was the standout bowler with three wickets for 30 runs. In reply, Alex Hales striked the ball for fun playing a knockoff 86* from 55 balls with a supporting role of 46 runs off 26 balls from Bhanuka Rajapaksa.
