Lanka Premier League 2024 Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Galle Marvels vs Colombo Strikers (Updated) ft. Kusal Perera and Shadab Khan

Dambulla Sixers faced Jaffna Kings in the fourth match of the 2024 Lanka Premier League on Wednesday, July 3, at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele. The Kings won the toss and elected to bowl.

Kusal Perera remained unbeaten on 102 runs off 52 deliveries. He helped the Sixers post a total of 191 runs for the loss of two wickets. Dhananjaya de Silva was the pick of the bowlers for the Kings, as he took two wickets for 25 runs in four overs.

Avishka Fernando and Charith Asalanka scored a half-century each for the Kings. They helped the team reach the target of 192 runs on the last delivery of the innings, as the Kings won the match by four wickets. Avishka won the Player of the Match award.

Colombo Strikers won the toss against Galle Marvels in the fifth match and elected to bowl. Niroshan Dickwella and Alex Hales added 71 runs for the first wicket. The Marvels lost their next five wickets for 23 runs. Isuru Udana scored 52 runs off 34 deliveries. He helped the Marvels post a total of 179 runs on the board. Shadab Khan was the pick of the bowlers and took four wickets for 21 runs in four overs.

Dunith Wellalage was the highest scorer for the Strikers. He scored 45 runs off 26 deliveries. No other batter managed to cross the 30-run mark. The Strikers posted a total of 172 runs for the loss of nine wickets and lost the match by seven runs. Maheesh Theekshana, Isuru Udana, and Sahan Arachchige took two wickets each for the Marvels.
