Kabul Premier League 2024: Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Speenghar Warriors vs Band-e-Amir Stars (Updated) ft. Bahar Shinwari & Nijat Masood

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, the Speenghar Warriors and Band-e-Amir Stars met in the Qualifier 2 match of the Kabul Premier League 2024.

The Speenghar Warriors batted first and were bowled out for a modest total of 151 runs. Noorullah Ayobi played a standout innings, scoring 72 runs off 53 balls, which included two fours and seven sixes. He was supported by Jalat Khan, who contributed 34 runs from 28 balls, hitting four boundaries.

On the bowling front for the Band-e-Amir Stars, Nijat Masood, Irfan Safi, and Faridoon Dawoodzai each claimed three wickets, while Iqdamul Haq took one.

In response, the Band-e-Amir Stars successfully chased down the target in 16.2 overs. Bahar Shinwari was the top scorer with 73 runs off 37 balls, while Naveed Obaid added 48 runs, and Afsar Zazai chipped in with 24 runs off 17 balls. Jalal Stanikzai was the only effective bowler for the Warriors, taking three wickets.

Hassan Eisakhil stands strong at the top with 388 runs across seven matches, averaging 55.42 and a strike rate of 220+.

Afsar Zazai scored 24 runs in the previous game and retained his second spot with 297 runs in seven matches.

Yousuf Shah retained his third place with 260 runs in six matches. He has an impressive average of 43.33 and a strike rate of 179.31.

Bahar Shinwari jumped from eighth to the fourth spot after scoring 73 runs from 37 deliveries, comprising six fours and as many sixes.

Abdul Malik has descended to the fifth spot with 208 runs in his account.

Both Nijat Masood and Faridoon Dawoodzai took three wickets on Thursday and grabbed the top two spots with 11 wickets each.

AM Ghazanfar, Ishaq Saqi and Arab Gul occupy the following three spots with 10 wickets apiece.

Irfan Safi picked up three wickets and moved to the sixth spot with a total of nine wickets. Said Khan and Jalal Stanikzai have bagged nine wickets each and are ranked seventh and eighth with an average of 18.00 and 19.22, respectively.
