Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) bowler Yash Dayal has shared a picture in admiration of Virat Kohli on Instagram. The left-arm pacer played alongside the Indian veteran in IPL 2024, where RCB lost in the Eliminator match against the Rajasthan Royals.

Yash was bought by RCB for INR 5 crore in the 2024 auction. In 14 games, he claimed 15 wickets at an economy rate of 9.15. In the last league-stage match, the Indian pacer bowled the crucial over against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

CSK needed to score 17 runs in an over to make the playoffs, with MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja at the crease. Dhoni hit the first ball for six, but Dayal came back strongly to dismiss the keeper-batter on the second ball. He held his nerves and helped RCB qualify for the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has been in the headlines after Indian player Amit Mishra made some startling claims against the former. He said that Kohli has changed with fame and power.

Amid all this, Dayal took to his Instagram to share a picture with Virat Kohli. He captioned it:

"It’s an honour to stand beside you bhaiya @virat.kohli 💙❤️🇮🇳."

It will be interesting to see if RCB retain Yash Dayal ahead of the mega auction in 2025.

"I don't share the same equation with him as I used to" - Amit Mishra shares his thoughts on Virat Kohli’s behavior pattern over the years

Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra recently appeared for an interview with Shubhankar Mishra for his YouTube show ‘Unplugged.’ During the conversation, he claimed that Kohli has changed with fame and power, while Rohit Sharma has remained the same.

"I won't lie. As a cricketer, I respect him a lot, but I don't share the same equation with him as I used to. Why does Virat have less friends? His and Rohit's natures are different. I'll tell you the best thing about Rohit. When I met him the first day and when I meet him today, he is the same person," Mishra said.
"I have seen Virat change a lot. We had almost stopped talking. When you get fame and power, they think people are reaching out to them for a purpose... But there is a huge difference in the Cheeku I knew and Virat Kohli, the captain. Whenever he meets me, he is very respectful, but it's obviously not the same anymore," he continued.

It is unclear if Virat Kohli will be available to play in the ODI series against Sri Lanka to be held early next month.
