As per clause 13.7.3 (Extra Time) of IPL 2024 match playing conditions, the provision of 120 minutes will be used first in case of a delayed start, followed by the time allocated for ‘time outs’ and then the reduction in the innings change interval (if applicable).
The clause adds that, for IPL 2024 playoff matches, apart from the extra time referred, there may be reserve days (on which an incomplete playoff match shall be completed). However, it remains to be seen how this is managed, as the Eliminator between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru is also scheduled in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, May 22.
