Is Arshdeep Singh playing in the IND vs BAN 2024 3rd T20I?

Team India and Punjab Kings (PBKS) pacer Arshdeep Singh will not take part in the third T20I being played between India and Bangladesh today, October 12. The third game of this series is being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.

Arshdeep Singh has been a part of the T20I squads throughout the year, with the pacer only being rested for the series against Zimbabwe.

Apart from the five T20Is on the tour, he has been a regular starter for Team India, with the left-arm pacer also being the joint-highest wicket-taker (17) at the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

During the toss, India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav mentioned at the toss that skipper Ravi Bishnoi will be playing in place of the pacer. He said:

"When you have already won the series, you can be complacent. It is about continuing the good habits. It is about giving freedom to everyone to express themselves. Only one change, Bishnoi comes in for Arshdeep."

Team India have unassailable lead of 2-0 in the IND vs BAN 2024 T20I series

After winning the Test series 2-0, Team India managed to take an unassailable lead in the three-match T20I series. The hosts won the first game at Gwalior by seven wickets, thanks to Arshdeep Singh's stand-out bowling performance.

In the second game, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh stitched together a huge partnership together and helped the hosts score 221/9. Bangladesh failed to chase down the total and lost the match by 86 runs, helping India take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Both teams will square off in the last game of the tour and will be hoping to win to cap off the white ball leg of the tour on a high.
