The second game of Sunday's double header in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will see the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lock horns with the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

SRH have had a spectacular run in this year's cash-rich league. They have crossed the 250+run total three times already this year and have been a force to reckon with. The SunRisers are currently placed third in the standings with 10 points, including five victories in eight games.

However, they lost their last game against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, failing to chase 207 runs. SRH could only muster 171 runs, succumbing to their third defeat of the season. Hyderabad will look to bounce back strongly and strengthen their position in the top half of the points table.

Defending champions CSK, on the other hand, began the tournament from where they left off last season. However, they have lost their rhythm a bit in the last two matches, losing to the Lucknow Super Giants.

The Super Kings have slipped out of the top four and are currently placed sixth in the table with eight points, including four wins and as many defeats. CSK will look to bounce back against the SunRisers and get their campaign back on track.

An edge-of-the-seat contest awaits fans, with two top teams going against each other at Chepauk tonight. Speaking of the weather, the conditions will be hot and humid in the southern state of India. The temperature will hover between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius. However, due to high humidity levels, the actual feeling will be around 40 degrees Celsius.

While there is no forecast for rain on Sunday, it will be cloudy throughout the IPL 2024 game between SRH and CSK.

What is the head-to-head record between CSK and SRH in the IPL?

CSK have been one of the most successful teams in the cash-rich league, winning the title five times. SRH, on the other hand, won the trophy in 2016.

The two teams have met each other 20 times in the past, with Chennai coming out on top 14 times. The SunRisers, on the other hand, have won only four games against the Super Kings in the IPL.
