IPL 2024 Orange Cap & Purple Cap standings after CSK vs SRH match (Updated)

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 46th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 on Sunday, April 28, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

SRH won the toss and elected to bowl. Ruturaj Gaikwad led from the front and helped CSK climb up to a total of 212 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. He missed on a well-deserved century and was dismissed on 98 runs off 54 deliveries. Daryl Mitchell also scored a half-century for CSK. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, and Jaydev Unadkat picked one wicket each for SRH.

SRH didn’t have a decent start to the chase and lost three wickets inside the Powerplay. Aiden Markram was the only batter who made more than 20 runs for the team. SRH were bundled out for 134 runs in 18.5 overs and lost the match by 78 runs.

Tushar Deshpande was the pick of the bowlers for CSK and took four wickets for 27 runs in four overs. Gaikwad won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.
