Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan has reacted to his erstwhile teammate Harbhajan Singh slamming an insensitive Babar Azam’s fan on social media on Friday, August 2. The reaction came after Harbhajan lashed out at the fan for targeting Pathan.

For the unversed, Babar’s fan shared a video of the Pakistan skipper from the 2023 ODI World Cup, where the former was seen ignoring a reporter on the sidelines. The fan mocked Pathan by claiming that Babar ignored Pathan. Interestingly, Pathan was not in the video but a random reporter.

Here’s how the conversation went:

The fan wrote on X:

“When @IrfanPathan begs to Babar Azam for Interview and he refused.”

While taking a dig at their English, Harbhajan asked the fan whether he was blind. He replied:

"Where is @IrfanPathan in this video ?? Bolne ki tameez to aap logo ko pehle hi nahi thi. Ab aankho se dikhna bi bandh ho gya kya ? Waise bi agar angreji mai swal pooch liya to pange pad jayenge.”

Translated version:

“You people never had the decency to say anything. Now have you stopped seeing with your eyes as well? Anyways, if we ask the question in English, you will get into trouble.”

Irfan Pathan responded to Harbhajan saying it was just to get reach on the micro-blogging site. He wrote:

“Inko jhoot bolke REACH chahiye. Ignore maaro Paaji @harbhajan_singh.”

Translated version:

“They want reach by lying. Ignore them brother.”

Both Harbhajan and Irfan often silence attacks on social media from Pakistan cricket fans.
