India will take on England in the second semifinal of the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday, Jun 27. The same two sides clashed in the semifinal of the 2022 T20 World Cup in Adelaide, a game in which England thumped India by 10 wickets. The winner of the second semifinal will meet South Africa in the final in Barbados on June 29.
The Men in Blue are yet to lose a match in the 2024 T20 World Cup. They won their first three matches in the group stage, while the last game was abandoned due to rain. In the Super 8 stage, they beat Afghanistan and Bangladesh before getting the better of Australia in St Lucia.
England have had their ups and downs in the tournament, but have stood up when it has mattered the most. After going down to Australia in the group stage, they secured a Super 8 berth with triumphs over Oman and Namibia. While England went down to South Africa in the Super 8 round, they registered crucial wins over West Indies and United States by comprehensive margins.
