Indian cricketer Sanju Samson took to social media on Saturday, October 19, to share a birthday post for his wife, Charulatha Remesh. A native of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Charulatha is an entrepreneur.

Sanju tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Charulatha on December 22, 2018, at a resort in Kovalam. To celebrate her birthday, the Indian cricketer took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post, captioned:

“Happy birthday to My Beautiful Impact Player.”

The 29-year-old is currently playing in the ongoing Round 2 match of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 against Karnataka. At the time of writing, Kerala stands at 104/2 after 34 overs, with Captain Sachin Baby (6) and Baba Aparajith (4) at the crease.

Sanju Samson smashed a brilliant century in his last outing for India

The Kerala cricketer last played for the Men in Blue in a three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Sanju scored 29 and 10 in the first two games, but he truly excelled in the series finale in Hyderabad, where he recorded an impressive century.

The right-handed batter reached his hundred off 40 balls, marking the second-fastest century by an Indian in T20Is, trailing only former captain Rohit Sharma’s 35-ball effort. Sanju finished with 111 runs from 47 balls, striking 11 fours and eight sixes, and helping the Men in Blue set a remarkable total of 297 for six— the second-highest in T20I history.

In reply, the visitors struggled, managing only 164 runs in their 20 overs, resulting in a 133-run defeat. For his exceptional performance, Sanju was named Player of the Match.

Since his debut for India in a T20I against Zimbabwe in 2015, the 29-year-old has appeared in 33 matches, amassing 594 runs, including two fifties and one century. In addition, he has played 16 ODIs, where he has scored 510 runs at an impressive average of 56.66, with three fifties and one century to his name.
