Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane took to Instagram on Thursday, September 26, to share a heartfelt post for his wife, Radhika Dhopavkar, on their 10th wedding anniversary. Rahane and Radhika tied the knot on September 26, 2014.

They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Aarya, in October 2019, followed by the birth of their second child, a son named Raghav, in October 2022.

On Thursday, Rahane shared six photos on Instagram featuring his wife and their children to commemorate their wedding anniversary. He captioned the post:

“A decade of playing the ultimate innings together - here’s to many more @radhika_dhopavkar!”

The 36-year-old last wore the Indian jersey during a Test match against the West Indies in 2023, where he scored eight runs, and has since been sidelined from the national team.

The right-handed batter has represented India in 85 Tests, scoring 5,077 runs and hitting 12 centuries. He has also played in 90 ODIs, amassing 2,962 runs, including 24 fifties and three centuries. The Mumbai cricketer has featured in 20 T20Is, scoring 375 runs.


Ajinkya Rahane to captain Mumbai in Irani Cup 2024

The Irani Cup 2024, featuring the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy winners Mumbai against the Rest of India, is set to begin on Tuesday, October 1, at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Ajinkya Rahane will captain the Mumbai team, which includes players like Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Prithvi Shaw, and Sarfaraz Khan. On the other hand, the Rest of India will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, with Ishan Kishan and Devdutt Padikkal also included in the squad.
