Indian cricketer Ruturaj Gaikwad took to social media on Sunday, October 13, to wish his wife, Utkarsha Pawar, on her 26th birthday. Utkarsha is also a cricketer representing Maharashtra in domestic competitions.

The couple got married on June 3, 2023, in Mahabaleshwar. On October 13, the Indian opener shared a post on Instagram featuring a picture with his better half, captioning it:

“Happy Birthday wife.”

Gaikwad has been competing in the ongoing 2024-25 Ranji Trophy match for Maharashtra against Jammu and Kashmir. Batting at No. 4, the right-handed batter narrowly missed a century, scoring 86 runs off 130 balls, which included 13 boundaries.

At the time of writing, Maharashtra were at 221/3 after 61 overs, trailing by 298 runs, with Siddhesh Veer (100 off 201 balls) and Ankit Bawne (9 off 13 balls) at the crease.

Earlier in the match, Jammu and Kashmir declared their first innings at 519/7 after 150 overs, with Shubham Khajuria shining with a remarkable double century. The opener scored 255 runs off 353 balls, hitting 29 boundaries and eight sixes.

Meanwhile, keeper-batter Shivansh Sharma remained unbeaten on 106 off 288 balls, featuring 10 boundaries and two sixes.


Ruturaj Gaikwad has represented India in 6 ODIs and 23 T20Is so far

The Maharashtra cricketer made his international debut in a T20I match against Sri Lanka in July 2021. Since then, he has played in 23 T20Is, scoring 633 runs, including four fifties. The right-handed batter also hit a century against Australia in November 2023, finishing unbeaten on 123 runs off 57 balls, featuring 13 fours and seven sixes.

The 27-year-old has had a tough start in his limited ODI career, having played six matches and managed to score only 115 runs at an average of 19.16, with one fifty. However, he has an impressive first-class record, accumulating 2,282 runs in 33 matches at an average of 42.25, featuring 12 half-centuries and six centuries.
