Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed believes their batters cannot play adventurous or inventive shots like the Indians due to the nature of the wickets back home. The right-arm pacer's statement came after the Men in Blue took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-game T20I series.

A young Indian side has comprehensively outplayed Bangladesh in both T20Is. The second T20I in Delhi saw the hosts post 221 in 20 overs despite being 41/3 at one stage. Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh stitched a 108-run partnership to set up a mammoth target, which the bowlers easily defended to secure an 86-run victory.

Speaking to reporters after India's win in the second T20I, Taskin Ahmed strongly suggested that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) must prepare wickets as Indian batters have scored heavily due to playing on the same.

He was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz:

"They (Indian batters) play their shots fluently even when there is a small margin of error. If we try to play shots lying down like them (scoop and lap shots), it would hit our head. This habit that they have grown is due to playing on good wickets from the early stages of their career."

The Men in Blue reached the target of 128 in the first T20I in only 11.5 overs.

"Our cricket will develop when the structure of our domestic cricket is strong" - Taskin Ahmed

Taskin also argued that a total of 180-200 in India is equivalent to 130-140 in their conditions.

"They (India) score 180 to 200 runs regularly. For us that is 130-40 at home. We don't have that habit (of scoring big runs) and that is the reality. Hopefully in the coming days our home conditions will get better and at that point we can chase big runs and defend as well. At the same time, if we can play different franchise leagues we will have better experience. Our cricket will develop when the structure of our domestic cricket is strong," he said in the same interaction.

The third and final T20I will be played in Hyderabad on Saturday, October 12.
