England hammered West Indies by 10 wickets at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Sunday, July 28 in the third and final Test of the three-match series played as part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. With the comprehensive triumph, achieved inside three days, the hosts completed a 3-0 whitewash of a West Indies outfit that again promised much but failed to deliver.

West Indies resumed their second innings on Day 3 of the Birmingham Test at 33-2. They were bowled out for 175 in 52 overs as pacer Mark Wood claimed figures of 5-40, while Gus Atkinson picked up 2 wickets for 28. Chasing a target of 82, England romped home in 7.2 overs as skipper Ben Stokes clobbered 57* off 28, while Ben Duckett remained unbeaten on 25 off 16.

Looking at the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table after the Birmingham Test, England are in sixth place. They have played 13 matches, winning six and losing six, while one Test ended in a draw. They have 57 points and a points percentage (PCT) of 36.54.

As for West Indies, they are languishing in ninth place, with 16 points and PCT of 19.04. The Windies have played seven matches in the ongoing ICC WTC cycle, winning only one. They have lost five matches while one game ended in a draw.


India are on top of ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table

Team India occupy the first position in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. Rohit Sharma and co. have played nine matches so far out of which they have won six and lost two, while one Test has ended in a draw. India have accumulated 74 points and have a PCT of 68.51.

India are followed by reigning Test champions Australia in the WTC points table. The Aussies have played 12 matches in the ongoing cycle, winning eight and losing three, while one game has ended in a draw. They have 90 points to their name, with points percentage of 62.50.

Inaugural WTC winners New Zealand are placed third in the points table. They have played six matches, winning three and losing three. The Kiwis have 36 points to their name and PCT of 50. Sri Lanka (24 points; PCT: 50) and Pakistan (22 points; PCT: 36.66) complete the top five.

South Africa and Bangladesh separate England and West Indies in the WTC points table. Both the Proteas and Bangladesh have 12 points each and a PCT of 25.
