Scotland-Oman game ends in a no-result

Scotland won the toss and elected to field against Oman in Tuesday’s ICC CWC League 2 fixture. The decision to bowl first worked wonders for Scotland, as they bundled Oman out for just 123 runs in 38 overs. Zeeshan Maqsood top scored for Oman with an 84-ball 40*, while Jasper John Davidson took 4/23 in eight overs, and Brandon McMullen and Mark Watt took two wickets each.

Chasing 124, Scotland looked well on their way to accomplishing the target thanks to important contributions from George Munsey (47 off 34) and Charlie Tear (39* off 32), but rain played spoilsport, and the game was eventually called off when Scotland were batting at 99/2 in 12.2 overs. Oman bowler Kaleemullah took 2/40 in six overs with an economy rate of 6.66.
