Scotland registered a 47-run win over Namibia via the DLS method

Namibia won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Forthill Cricket Ground against Scotland. The decision to bowl first did not bode well for Namibia as Scotland posted 290/9 in 50 overs.

George Munsey (91 off 62) and skipper Richie Berrington (79 off 81) top scored for Scotland, while Bernard Scholtz finished his spell with figures of 3/23 in 10 overs for Namibia. His teammates Tangeni Lungameni and Ben Shikongo took two wickets apiece.

Contributions from opener Michael van Lingen (60 off 85) and Namibian skipper Gerhard Erasmus (63 off 51) kept Namibia in the hunt, but rain played spoilsport in the 44th over of the game while Namibia were behind on the DLS score, meaning Scotland won the game by 47 runs. Michael Leask (4/40) was Scotland’s highest wicket-taker in this encounter.
