Canada’s by far the best team in the league and the points table portrays the same. Having won all four of their games, they are in first place with eight points and a net run rate of +0.498. Namibia, after their loss to fifth-placed Oman, are second on the points table with eight points in seven games. Namibia have won four and lost three games so far in the tournament, and they have a net run rate of +0.016.

Scotland’s breathing down Namibia’s neck in the third place. Scotland have won three, lost two, and have had an abandoned game so far in this league. With seven points and the best net run rate of +1.188 amongst all the other teams, Scotland could very well challenge for the second spot in the games to come. The Netherlands sit steady in the fourth spot with four points and a balanced record of two wins and two losses in four games.

Oman catapults to the fifth position with three points in four matches after their win over Namibia. This win marks Namibia’s first victory in this tournament. Aqib Ilyas' 68-run knock stirs Oman to victory

Oman elected to field first against Namibia at Forthill Dundee. Namibian batters Michael van Lingen (40 off 55), Malan Kruger (73 off 90), and JJ Smit (41 off 75) top-scored for Namibia and helped them post a target of 196/9 in 50 overs. van Lingen and Kruger shared 13 boundaries in between them, while Smit hit two fours and a maximum. Bilal Khan (3/50) and Fayyaz Butt (2/37) ended the first innings as Oman’s highest wicket-takers.

The game went down to the wire as Oman skipper Aqib Ilyas (68 off 129) and Khalid Kail (43 off 55) helped Oman chase the target with just five deliveries and four wickets to spare. Jack Brassell scalped two wickets for Namibia but in vain.
