ICC Cricket World Cup League Two: Most Runs and Most Wickets after Scotland vs Oman (Updated) ft. George Munsey & Charlie Cassell

On Monday, July 22, Scotland and Oman locked horns in the 16th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two 2024-2027 at Forthill, Dundee.

Scotland won the toss and elected to field first against Oman. Pratik Athavale top-scored for Oman with a 34-run knock. Zeeshan Maqsood added 10 runs and Mehran Khan scored 17, while the rest were dismissed in single digits.

Scotland's Charlie Cassell bowled an outstanding spell off 7/21 for Scotland at an impressive economy rate of 3.70. Brandon McMullen, Brad Currie, and Gavin Main chipped in with one wicket each.

In reply, George Munsey (23), McMullen (37*), and Richie Berrington (24*) helped Scotland comfortably chase the target in 17.2 overs with eight wickets in hand. Bilal Khan and Fayyaz Butt picked up a wicket each for Oman.

George Munsey remains at the top of the most-runs leaderboard. He scored 23 runs in the previous game and took his tally to 302 runs, averaging 50.33.

Harsh Thaker of Canada occupies the second position with 234 runs in four games, including a tournament-best 111-run unbeaten knock. He has an excellent average of 234.

Gerhard Erasmus retained his third position, having scored 184 runs in six games. He has scored two fifties at an average of 30.66.

Jan Frylinck, who has scored 179 runs in six matches, holds the fourth spot while Scotland’s Brandon McMullen occupies the fifth position, having scored 166 runs in six games, including an unbeaten 37-run knock in the previous game.

Gerhard Erasmus of Namibia, Aryan Dutt, and Bernard Scholtz hold the top three positions with 14, 11, and 10 wickets, respectively.

Dilon Heylinger also retained his fourth spot, having taken nine wickets in four games at an impressive economy of 4.85.

Meanwhile, Charlie Cassell of Scotland, who is ranked fifth, played his first game in the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two on Monday. He scalped seven wickets for 21 runs in 5.4 overs.
