Netherlands took on the United States in the 21st match of the ICC CWC League 2 2024 on Thursday, August 15, at the Sportpark Duivesteijn in Voorburg. The United States won the toss and elected to bowl.
The Netherlands posted a total of 237 runs for the loss of seven wickets on the board. Vikramjit Singh and Scott Edwards led the batting attack for the team. Singh made 59 runs off 83 deliveries, while Edwards scored 65 runs off 55 deliveries.
Max O'Dowd also supported the batting unit with his 67-ball-49-run knock. Milind Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for the United States and picked two wickets for 40 runs in 10 overs.
The United States lost their first two wickets very early. Milind Kumar played the role of the lone warrior with his knock of 69 runs off 79 deliveries. However, it wasn't enough as the United States fell short of the target by 19 runs and were bundled out for 218 runs in 49.5 overs. Vivian Kingma was the most successful bowler for the Netherlands and took three wickets for 47 runs in nine overs.
