England's white-ball captain Jos Buttler and Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal engaged in an interaction on the latter's social media post on Sunday, October 20. Chahal is currently participating in the ongoing 2024-25 Ranji Trophy for Haryana.

The Indian spinner demonstrated his batting ability, falling just short of his maiden first-class fifty against Uttar Pradesh, scoring 48 runs off 152 balls, including six boundaries. Chahal took to Instagram on Sunday to share some pictures from the game, fully padded up.

The leg-spinner’s Rajasthan Royals teammate, Buttler, was quick to react and commented:

“Batting? How many runs?”

To which Chahal replied:

“48😁💪🏻.”

The 34-year-old is set to return to action when England face West Indies in the white-ball tour starting on October 31.
