Team India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja reacted to CSK's post on X which commemorated 500 days of their 2023 IPL final win. The win marked CSK's fifth IPL title, which sent them level with Mumbai Indians (MI) as the most successful franchise.

In the big game of the 2023 IPL, Jadeja walked out to bat after MS Dhoni's wicket, who was dismissed for a first-ball duck. With 10 runs needed from two balls, Jadeja smashed a six off his very first delivery. In reply, Mohit Sharma bowled a fuller delivery at his boot, which he flicked towards fine leg for a boundary, sealing the contest.

Commemorating the 500th day of the win, CSK posted a photo of Jadeja running after hitting the winning shot, quoting Ian Bishop's commentary:

"500 days of 'OHH JADDEEJJJJAAA.'"

Jadeja replied from his official X account:

"Home💛💛💛🤗"

Chennai Super Kings now have a tough task of IPL retentions

Chennai Super Kings have a tough task at hand when it comes to deciding who to retain and release. Their Indian core of MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube could take up four out of the six slots. CSK could thus lose out on their most expensive Indian acquisition at the auction, Deepak Chahar, along with Shardul Thakur, with the duo getting back in the auction pool.

They even face a predicament when it comes to retaining their foreign players. Considering Mateesha Pathirana is their priority overseas retention, CSK will have to decide who among Maheesh Theekshana, Devon Conway, Moeen Ali and Rachin Ravindra will be their second overseas retention.

The deadline for IPL teams to submit their retained list of players is Thursday, October 31, at 5pm IST
