Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj left a comment on his bowling partner Jasprit Bumrah's latest Instagram post on Thursday, October 3. The pair recently demonstrated their skills as India achieved a clean sweep against Bangladesh in the two-match Test series.

Bumrah excelled throughout the series, taking 11 wickets across both matches. His impressive performance earned him the No. 1 spot among Test bowlers with 870 points. He surpassed his teammate Ravichandran Ashwin, who is in second place with 869 points.

On Thursday (October 3), Bumrah shared a post from his training session, captioning it:

“Weathered the challenge. Onto the next one.”

Siraj was quick to react and commented:

“Hello, No. 1.”

Meanwhile, Siraj is ranked 25th in the ICC Men’s Test rankings. The 30-year-old took four wickets in the series against Bangladesh. He showcased exceptional fielding skills, earning him the Fielding Medal alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal from the team management.

Jasprit Bumrah has been a key bowler for the Indian team for some time, and he showcased his exceptional skills earlier this year in the 2024 T20 World Cup. The 30-year-old claimed 15 wickets in eight matches, boasting an impressive average of 8.26 and an outstanding economy rate of 4.17. His performances earned him the Player of the Tournament award.

In the final, while defending a target of 177, Bumrah excelled by conceding only 18 runs in his four overs. He also took two crucial wickets—Reeza Hendricks and Marco Jansen—as the Men in Blue triumphed over South Africa by seven runs. They secured their second T20 World Cup title and ended an 11-year drought for an ICC trophy.

The speedster is ranked 21st in the ICC Men’s T20I rankings and eighth in ODIs. Bumrah will next be seen in action when India takes on New Zealand in a three-match Test series, starting October 16 in Bengaluru.
