On Monday, August 12, Indian keeper-batter Dhruv Jurel made an amusing comment on the latest Instagram post of his Rajasthan Royals' teammate Riyan Parag. The Assam cricketer recently made his ODI debut in the final game of the three-match series against Sri Lanka.

Parag took three wickets in the game and scored 15 runs off 13 balls. However, the Men in Blue were below par as the hosts registered their first bilateral ODI win over India in 27 years.

The Indian cricketer seemed to be enjoying his time off the field as he shared a post on Instagram with the caption:

“At peace”

Meanwhile, his IPL teammate Dhruv Jurel left a cheeky comment on the post. He wrote:

Dhruv Jurel has represented India in three Tests and two T20Is. The keeper-batter was brilliant in the Test series against England earlier this year. In four innings, he scored 190 runs at an average of 63.33, with 90 being the highest.

Jurel has made his case for the long run in the Test team. It will be interesting to see whether the 23-year-old will get game time in the Test series against Bangladesh, starting September 19.

Riyan Parag made his India debut against Zimbabwe in July 2024

While Riyan Parag got his maiden ODI cap against Sri Lanka, he made his India debut in the five-game T20I series against Zimbabwe in July.

The Indian cricketer was brilliant in the 2024 IPL, scoring 573 in 15 games at an average of 52.09 and with a strike of 149.22 for Rajasthan Royals. His brilliant performances in the IPL helped him earn his maiden national call-up for the Zimbabwe series.

Since then, Parag has played in six T20Is for India, scoring 57 runs in four innings. He has also taken three wickets. Currently only 22 years old, Parag can make some big contributions to the Indian team in the coming years with his all-round skills.
