Global T20 Canada 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after Vancouver Knights vs Surrey Jaguars (Updated) ft. Dilpreet Bajwa & Jason Behrendorff

On Friday, August 2, the Toronto Nationals went up against the Montreal Tigers in the 12th match of the Global T20 Canada (GT20 Canada) 2024. Later in the day, Vancouver Knights and Surrey Jaguars met in the 13th match.

In the first game, the Montreal Tigers batted first but the match was abandoned after two overs due to a wet outfield when the scoreboard read 25/2. The Tigers had a rough start. Opener Tim Seifert stayed not out on one run off four balls, while Toronto’s Jason Behrendorff dismissed Chris Lynn and Sherfane Rutherford for golden ducks. Dilpreet Bajwa provided some resistance with an unbeaten 18 off six balls, including three boundaries.

In the following match, the Surrey Jaguars opted to bowl first against the Knights. Opener Munir Ahmad scored six runs off 13 balls before being dismissed, while captain Usman Khawaja remained not out on 11 alongside Reeza Hendricks, who was four not out off eight balls. Logan van Beek took the only wicket for the Jaguars. However, after five overs, rain intervened, resulting in the match being abandoned with no result.

Montreal Tigers’ dependable batter Dilpreet Bajwa (192) scored 18 runs in the previous game, solidifying his position at the top with an impressive average of 192.

George Munsey retained his second spot, scoring 124 runs in four matches. He has two half-centuries so far and an average of 36.50. Similarly, Harsh Thaker, with 100 runs, holds the third position, averaging 33.33.

Meanwhile, Reeza Hendricks scored four runs and jumped from seventh to fourth spot with 98 runs. Unmukt Chand follows him closely with 97 runs.

Junaid Siddique of Toronto reclaimed the top spot with 10 wickets. Aayan Afzal Khan remained second with eight wickets in three innings.

Similarly, Sunil Narine and David Wiese retained their third and fourth spots with seven wickets each. Bangla Mississippi Tigers duo of Shoriful Islam and Shakib Al Hasan are still ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, with six wickets.
