Global T20 Canada 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after Toronto Nationals vs Surrey Jaguars (Updated) ft. Marcus Stoinis & Sunil Narine

On Sunday, July 28, the Vancouver Knights played against the Montreal Tigers in the sixth match of the Global T20 Canada 2024, and later, the Toronto Nationals squared off against the Surrey Jaguars.

The Montreal Tigers batted first against the Vancouver Knights, setting a target of 144 with handy contributions from Corbin Bosch (35*), Dilpreet Bajwa (33), and Azmatullah Omarzai (27). Aayan Khan added a quick 16 from 13 balls at the back-end of the innings. Dwaine Pretorius and Mohammad Amir took two wickets each for the Knights.

In reply, despite the best efforts of Reeza Hendricks (34), Dipendra Singh Airee (30*), and Pretorius (31), the Knights fell 10 runs short. Aayan Khan claimed three wickets, with Kaleem Sana and Omarzai playing supporting roles.

In the second match, Surrey Jaguars posted 161 for six, led by Marcus Stoinis's half-century and decent contributions from Kyle Mayers (27) and Virandeep Singh (23*). Muhammad Rohid Khan and Junaid Siddique took two wickets each for the Toronto Nationals.

In response, Toronto were bowled out for 81, with Unmukt Chand top-scoring with 21. Stoinis and Sunil Narine each claimed three wickets, while Mohammad Nabi took two, and Ben Lister and Harmeet Singh chipped in with one for the Jaguars.

Unmukt Chand is currently the leading run-getter in the Global T20 Canada 2024. He scored 21 runs in the last game and moved from third position to first with a total of 97 runs at an average 48.50.

Harsh Thaker dropped to second with 97 runs at a strike rate of 107.77.

Iftikhar Ahmed (78) occupies the third position with 78 runs from two games. Dwaine Pretorius, who scored 31 in the last game, jumped from 10th to fourth with 76 runs in his account.

Dilpreet Bajwa (74), George Munsey (72), and Russie van der Dussen (71) occupy the next three spots, respectively.

Junaid Siddique (9) retained the top spot after taking two wickets in the last game. Following closely behind in second place, Aayan Afzal Khan of the Montreal Tigers has seven wickets to his name.

Sunil Narine took two wickets on Sunday and secured the third position with four wickets overall. Mohammad Rohid Khan also picked up two wickets in the same match to claim fourth spot with four scalps.

David Wiese (4) and Sandeep Lamichhane (4) held on to the fifth and sixth spots, averaging 16.75 and 21.25, respectively.
