Global T20 Canada 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after Montreal Tigers vs Toronto Nationals (Updated) ft. George Munsey and Romario Shepherd

Montreal Tigers and Toronto Nationals locked horns in the finale of the Global T20 Canada 2024 on Sunday, August 11.

The Tigers were asked to bat first and set a challenging target. However, they failed to perform well and were restricted to 96/9. Corbin Bosch top-scored 35 while Jaskaran Singh (16) and Anoop Ravi (10) were the double-digit run-corers.

Jason Behrendorff chipped in three wickets while Romario Shepherd took two and the rest of the lineup claimed one apiece.

In reply, the Nationals openers Colin Munro (0) and Unmukt Chand (4) were dismissed inside two overs. However, Andries Gous’ half-century and Rassie van der Dussen’s 30 guided them to a comfortable eight-wicket victory in the finals.

George Munsey finished at the top of the most runs leaderboard with 218 runs in seven matches, averaging 43.6. Following closely, Dilpreet Bajwa concluded second with 206 runs.

Nick Hobson and Reeza Hendricks finished in the next two spots with 158 and 154 runs, respectively. Similarly, Beau Webster and Marcus Stoinis ended fifth and sixth each.

Unmukt Chand ended seventh, scoring 127 runs while Iftikhar Ahmed was ranked eighth with 124 runs. Colin Munro retained his ninth rank while Russie Van der Dussen concluded at the 10th spot with 120 runs.

Romario Shepherd (13) moved from second to first after picking up two wickets in the final game. Meanwhile, Junaid Siddique (12) of Toronto Nationals was the top wicket-taker until the final but slipped to second after taking only one wicket in the same game.

Jason Behrendorff (11) rocketed from the top 15 to third following a three-wicket haul against Montreal Tigers. Similarly, Azmatullah Omarzai retained his fourth spot while Thomas Draca dropped to fifth with 11 wickets each.

Sunil Narine, Kaleem Sana, Mohammad Amir, Aayan Afzal Khan, and David Wiese finished in the next five spots with nine wickets each.
