On Tuesday, July 30, the Toronto Nationals faced off against Bangla Tigers Mississauga in the eighth match of the 2024 Global T20 Canada (GT20), followed by a clash between Brampton Wolves and Montreal Tigers.

In the first match, Bangla Tigers Mississauga set a target of 169 for the Toronto Nationals, with David Wiese scoring an unbeaten 38. The Nationals lost their top order early but were brought close by Nicholas Kirton's 74 off 54 balls. However, they fell short by two runs, with Ali Khan and the rest of the bowlers chipping in for the Tigers.

In the second game, Montreal Tigers posted 166/7, thanks to Dilpreet Bajwa's brilliant century. Andrew Tye took three wickets for Brampton Wolves. The Wolves struggled in their chase and were bowled out for 124, with George Munsey top-scoring with 54. Azmatullah Omarzai's four wickets were crucial in Montreal's victory.

George Munsey jumped from sixth position to the second after scoring 54 runs in the previous game. He has 124 runs at an impressive average of 42. Unmukt Chand dropped from first to third and Harsh Thaker slipped from second to fourth with 97 runs each. However, Chand has a strike rate of 121.25 while Thaker has 107.77.

Following closely is Nicholas Kirton, who played a 74-run knock for Toronto Nationals with 11 boundaries and secured the fifth position in the most runs leaderboard with 95 runs in four games.

Junaid Siddique of Toronto picked up a wicket in the previous match and reclaimed the top spot with 10 wickets. Similarly, Aayan Afzal Khan also retained his second spot with eight wickets in three games. Azmatullah Omarzai, who bagged a four-fer on Tuesday, rocketed to the third position with five wickets in his account.

Meanwhile, Saad Bin Zafar (5) chipped in with two wickets in the last game and jumped from 10th position to fourth. His teammates Romario Shepherd and Muhammad Rohid have also taken five wickets so far. However, Shepherd averages 16.60 while Rohid has an average of 17.80.
