Full list of East Delhi Riders players for Delhi Premier League 2024 ft. Anuj Rawat & Simarjeet Singh

The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has announced the inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League 2024, set to take place from August 17 to September 8, 2024, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The T20 tournament will feature a total of 33 men's matches and seven women's matches.

The league will include six zone-based franchise teams from Delhi: East Delhi Riders (East Delhi), West Delhi Lions (West Delhi), North Delhi Strikers (North Delhi), Central Delhi Kings (Central Delhi), Purani Delhi (Old Delhi), and South Delhi Superstarz (South Delhi).

The East Delhi Riders, representing the East Delhi Zone, are owned by Areion Finserve Pvt. Ltd., who acquired the team for Rs. 8.3 crore, making it the second-highest valued team among the six franchises.

Anuj Rawat, Simarjeet Singh, and Himmat Singh are some of the IPL players in East Delhi. Rawat and Himmat Singh have represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the past while Simarjeet has played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The Himmat Singh-led side will include all-rounders like Harsh Tyagi, who has played for India Under-19s, Delhi under U-19s, and Railways, Mayank Rawat, Vaibhav Sharma, Ansh Choudhary, Rounak Waghela, and many more.

Wicketkeeper-batter Sagar Khatri will be the second wicket-keeper option for East Delhi after Rawat. He will contribute to the batting department with Hardik Sharma, Sujal Singh, Samarth Seth, and Lakshaya Sangwan.

Simarjeet will lead the bowling attack alongside some young and talented bowlers like Agrim Sharma, Bhagwan Singh and Himanshu Chauhan.

East Delhi Riders will go up against Central Delhi Kings in the second match of Delhi Premier League 2024 on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
