The fourth edition of Global T20 Canada 2024 will be held from July 25 to August 11, 2024. A total of six teams, including Brampton Wolves, Surrey Jaguars, Bangla Tigers Mississauga, Montreal Tigers, Toronto Nationals, and Vancouver Knights will be competing for the title.
Brampton Wolves had a fine season in the previous Global T20 Canada 2024 edition. They finished fourth in the league-stage matches with three wins and two losses while two ended without a result. However, the Montreal Tigers defeated them in the Eliminator by nine wickets.
David Warner is expected to open alongside Scotland's opener George Munsey. They will be backed by top-order batters like USA's Aaron Johnson and Australia's Josh Brown.
Additionally, the team boasts a cadre of skilled and young talented domestic batters including Abhijai Mansingh, Kobe Herft, Ravinderpal Singh, Samerjeet Singh, Kanwarpal Tathgur, and Robin Singh.
Australia's Beau Webster adds his batting prowess to the team's arsenal, capable of anchoring the middle order and providing stability when needed. Similarly, Barbados' bowling all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite, known for his explosive batting and effective medium-pace bowling, and Harmandeep Singh enhance the team's bowling options with his ability to deliver crucial overs and contribute with the bat lower down the order.
Andrew Tye, the experienced Australian medium-pacer, will lead the bowling department with Netherlands' Aryan Dutt, United Arab Emirates' Muhammad Jawadullah, and Canada’s local bowler Akhil Kumar.
Brampton Wolves will go head-to-head with Surrey Jaguars in the third Global T20 Canada 2024 match on Friday, July 26, 2024. CAA Centre, Brampton, Ontario will be the host venue.
