County Championship Division Two 2024: Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Northamptonshire vs Sussex (updated) ft. Ollie Robinson and Ben Mike

A total of four matches took place in round 10 of the County Championship Division Two 2024. Derbyshire took on Yorkshire in the 33rd match of the tournament.

Derbyshire put on a disappointing performance, as they got bundled out for 76. In reply, Yorkshire amassed a massive score of 451. Trailing by a huge deficit, Derbyshire could only muster 171 when they came out to bat again, losing by an innings.

Meanwhile, the 34th match of the tournament was played between Gloucestershire and Glamorgan, which ended in a draw.

The 35th match saw Leicestershire beat Middlesex by 123 runs. Batting first, Leicestershire were bundled out for 179. In reply, Middlesex were bowled out for a paltry 86. Leicestershire, in their second innings, batted brilliantly and posted 372.

Chasing a target of 466, Middlesex were bowled out for 342. Ben Green top-scored in the match, amassing 77 off 86. Ben Mike was the top performer with the ball, with figures of 5-22 and 3-88.

Sussex locked horns with Northamptonshire in the 36th match of the tournament. Sussex compiled 143 after batting first. In response, Northamptonshire were bowled out for 97. Sussex made 237 in their second innings.

Northamptonshire, set a target of 284, saw Emilio Gay (67) and Justin Broad (45) fight hard but were bowled out for 220.

Ryan Higgins is atop the County Championship run pile with 908 runs, followed by Sam Northeast at second with 902. At number three is Emilio Gay with 860 runs, followed by Adam Lyth with 770 runs.

The fifth and sixth spots are occupied by James Bracey (763) and Leus du Plooy (757), respectively. Colin Ingram is e seventh with 752 runs, while Cameron Bancroft is eighth with 745 runs.

The ninth and tenth positions belong to John Simpson (728) and Luke Procter (726), respectively.
