Durham secured an innings and six runs win over Somerster in the 31st match of the County Championship Division One 2024, while Hampshire bagged an innings and 278 runs win over Surrey in the 32nd game.

On the other hand, Essex secured a victory by an innings and 96 runs over Kent in the 33rd match while Warwickshire-Lancashire and Worcestershire-Nottinghamshire settled for draws.

In the 31st encounter, Somerset batted first and posted a below-par total of 171 runs. In response, Durham posted a total of 265 runs, thanks to David Bedingham's 101 runs. In the third innings, Somerster got bundled out for 88 runs to lose the game by innings and six runs.

In the 32nd game, Surrey notched up a total of 127 runs. In response, Hampshire posted a dominating total of 608/6d. Toby Albert (114), Nick Gubbins (103), and Ben Brown (165*) were the top scorers. In reply, Surrey got bundled out for 203 runs to lose by innings and 278 runs.

In the 33rd contest, Essex secured an imposing total of 591/7d, thanks to Jordan Cox's 207 runs. In response, Kent posted a good total of 394 runs. In the third innings, Kent got bundled out for 101 to lose by an innings and 96 runs.

In the 34th contest, Warwickshire dominated the proceedings with 284 runs. In the 2nd innings, Lancashire got bundled out for 149 runs. Warwickshire, in the third innings, declared their innings at 96/3. In the fourth innings, Lancashire posted 89/4 to end the game in a draw.

In the 35th match, Worcestershire got bundled out for 80 runs. In response, Nottinghamshire posted 234/3 before the game ended in a draw.
