The Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League witnessed a double-header game on Wednesday, June 12. Raipur Rhinos faced the Rajnandgaon Panthers in the 10th match, while the other encounter witnessed Bastar Bisons and Bilaspur Bulls face off each other in the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.

Raipur Rhinos left the table topper Rajnandgaon Panthers clueless with their all-round performances and won the game by a margin of 109 runs. With this win, the Rhinos jumped two spots to occupy the top position with an NRR of +1.487.

Bilaspur Bulls sit second in the standings after their 43-run win over Bastar Bison. The third position is occupied by Raigarh Lions. They have won two of their three encounters and have an NRR of +0.455.

Rajnandgaon Panthers occupy the fourth position after their huge loss earlier today, pushing them from the top spot to the fourth position and they have an NRR of -0.667. Bastar Bisons slot in the fifth spot after their loss against Bilaspur Bulls. Surguja Tigers take the last position and are yet to win a game in the competition.

Stellar performance from the openers of Bilaspur Bulls and Raipur Rhinos lend them a victory

Rajnandgaon Panthers won the toss and asked Raigad Rhinos to bat first, but this decision back-fired when the batters put on an entertainer to watch out for. Amandeep Khare scored 88 runs off 50 deliveries, smashing six boundaries and sixes each. Sahban Khan also played a cameo of 48 runs off just 28 deliveries, including five sixes and two boundaries.

In response, Rajnandgaon Panthers were left shocked and the wickets kept crumbling. Kritesh Sahu and Dhananjay Nayak were the only batters to cross the double-digit score.

In the second encounter, Bastar Bisons won the toss and chose to bowl against the Bilaspur Bulls. The Bilaspur openers Abhijeet Tah (80 runs off 55 balls) and Aayush Pandey (91 runs off 39 balls) put up an opening partnership of 153 runs which was a stellar show. Sourabh Majumdar was the standout bowler taking a four-wicket haul but leaked 60 runs.

On the other hand, Bastar Bisons were bowled out for 177 runs with some magical spells from the captain Shashank Singh (3/28). Shashank Chandrakar (77 runs off 35 balls) was the only batter for the Bisons who stood tall striking at 308 but with no batters supporting him, it cost the match for the Bisons.
