Suryakumar Yadav led by example in the third and final T20I against Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday, October 12. The right-hander scored a quickfire 75 runs off 35 balls at a strike rate of 214.29, comprising five sixes and eight boundaries.
With the knock, Suryakumar also returned to form after managing 26, 8 (vs Sri Lanka) and 29, 8 (against Bangladesh) in his last four innings in the format.
Notably, Suryakumar Yadav is the second-ranked T20I batter, only behind Australia opener Travis Head. During his knock, he became the second-fastest Indian to complete 2,500 runs in the format.
Former India captain Virat Kohli achieved the milestone in 68 innings, while Yadav reached the landmark in 71 innings. Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and his teammate Mohammad Rizwan are on the top two list with 65 and 68 innings, respectively.
