A total of four matches were played in Round 1 of the Buchi Babu Cricket Tournament 2024.

Jharkhand Cricket Association defeated Madhya Pradesh by two wickets. Ishan Kishan struck a century for Jharkhand while Aniket Verma scored a notable 110-run knock.

Indian Railways registered a massive 139-run victory over Gujarat Cricket Association. Pratham Singh, Vivek Singh, and Sahib Yuvraj smashed a century each for the Railways while Manan Hingrajia was the only centurion for Gujarat.

The third game between Mumbai and Haryana ended in a draw after Haryana took the first-innings lead. Similarly, the fourth game between Jammu and Kashmir and Chhattisgarh drew as the former declared at 587/9 in the first innings and were unable to bowl out Chhattisgarh in their second innings.

Shubham Khajuria (202) smashed an outstanding double-hundred against Chhattisgarh and secured the top spot on the most wickets leaderboard. Meanwhile, Manan Hingrajia (167) scored a hundred and fifty in two innings and claimed the second spot. Prateek Yadav hammered a 148-run in one of his two innings and secured the third position with 165 runs.

Jharkhand’s Ishan Kishan (155) scored a hundred in two innings, while Pratham Singh and Dheeru Singh scored 150 runs each to occupy the next three spots, respectively. Ayush Pandey smashed 143 runs in two innings, including a 138-run knock, and claimed the seventh spot.

Indian Railways batters Vivek Singh (140) and Shivam Chaudhary (137) scored a century and half-century to claim the seventh, eighth, and ninth positions, respectively. Aniket Verma who produced 134 runs, including a 110-run inning, rounds off the top 10 leaderboard.

Ayan Chaudhary and Akash Rajawat bagged seven wickets each to secure the top two spots in the most wickets list. Similarly, Lakshay Sangwan and Raj Chaudhary scalped six wickets apiece and now hold the third and fourth spots, respectively.

Parush Mandal, Shubham Singh, Musheer Khan, Abid Mushtaq, Amit Rana, and Adheer Pratap Singh picked up five wickets and occupied the following six positions apiece.
