Two matches were played on the second day of the Bengal Pro T20 League 2024 on Wednesday, June 12. Sobisco Smashers Malda took on Rashmi Medinipur Wizards in the first game.
Batting first, the Wizards were bundled out for a paltry total of just 97 runs in 19 overs. They lost their openers inside the first two overs and failed to recover. Wriddhiman Saha (21) and Priyanshu Srivastava (21) were the notable scorers. Geet Puri led the show with the ball for the Smashers, picking up three wickets. Writtick Chatterjee was impressive, grabbing a couple as well.
The Smashers did not have a bright start to the chase. They were reduced to 22/3 in 4.1 overs. However, Writtick Chatterjee struck an unbeaten 38-ball 50 to help the team scale down the target with six wickets to spare.
Adamas Howrah Warriors faced Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers in the second match of the day. The Tigers could only manage to score 125/8 batting first. Avilin Ghosh top-scored with an unbeaten 42. Sujit Yadav (3) and Kanishk Seth (2) were the pick of the bowlers for the Warriors.
In reply, the Warriors got to 54/5 in 10.3 overs before rain stopped play. Saurabh Srivastava picked up three wickets as the Kolkata Tigers were declared winners by 16 runs via D/L method.

Writtick Chatterjee of Sobisco Smashers Malda is the highest run-getter of the Bengal Pro T20 League at present. He scored 50 runs at a strike rate of 131.58, including four boundaries and two sixes.
Shantanu of Servotech Siliguri Strikers slipped a spot to the second position with 44 runs at a strike rate of 107.32. Avilin Ghosh of Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers is in third place with 42 runs at a strike rate of 140, smashing six fours.
Badal Singh Balyan of Harbour Diamonds dropped two places to the fourth position with 37 runs, while Prayas Ray also slipped two places to the fifth slot with 32 runs.
Bengal Pro T20 League 2024 Most Wickets List
Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal, with four wickets, continues to remain atop the leading wicket-takers list in the Bengal Pro T20 League. Saurabh Srivastav is in the second position on this table with three wickets. Geet Puri, also with three wickets, takes third place with an average of five.
Sujit Kumar Yadav and Vaibhav Yadav, with three wickets apiece, take the fourth and fifth positions with averages of 5.67 and 7.67, respectively.
