Murshidabad Kings defeated Shrachi Rarh Tigers in the 28th match of the Bengal Pro T20 League by 26 runs on Tuesday, June 25. The Kings posted 187/5 in the first innings, thanks to Sudip Kumar Gharami's 86-run knock off 53 deliveries, which earned him the Player of the Match award.

Malda Smashers finished in first place and won six out of seven matches, recording a Net Run Rate of +0.706. Murshidabad Kings remained in second position and had five wins to their name in seven games. They accumulated a Net Run Rate of +0.648.

Medinipur Wizards finished in third place and Kolkata Royal Tigers remained in fourth position. They won four out of seven matches each and had a Net Run Rate of +0.448 and +0.342, respectively.

Howrah Warriors finished in fifth place, with four wins in seven games. They had a Net Run Rate of -0.230. Siliguri Strikers remained in sixth position and won two out of seven matches. They finished with a Net Run Rate of -0.197.

Rarh Tigers finished in seventh place with two wins to their name in seven games, with a Net Run Rate of -0.506. Harbour Diamonds finished in eighth position and lost all seven games. They had a Net Run Rate of -1.107.


Murshidabad Kings triumph by 26 runs thanks to Gharami and Agniv Pan's heroics

Rarh Tigers won the toss against Murshidabad Kings and elected to bowl. Sudip Kumar Gharami played a blistering knock of 86 runs off 53 deliveries. He received decent support from Agniv Pan at the other end, who remained unbeaten on 57 runs off 34 deliveries.

The Kings posted 187 runs for the loss of five wickets. Satyaki Datta took two wickets for 26 runs in four overs. Suman Das, Pradipta Pramanik, and Sandipan Das picked one wicket each.

The Tigers lost their first wicket with just two runs on the board. Arindam Ghosh and Sumanta Gupta added 44 runs for the second wicket. This was the only partnership that lasted for more than 40 runs for the Tigers.

They finished with 161 runs for the loss of nine wickets and lost the match by 26 runs. Sukhmeet Singh was the most successful bowler in the match and picked three wickets for 35 runs in four overs.
